onset date ambigous

Blea v Barnhart, No. 05-2246 (10th Cir. October 23, 2006)Denial of an application for disability insurance benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act is reversed and remanded where the onset date of claimant's disabilities, which arose from his being shot in the foot, was ambiguous, the ALJ erred by failing to utilize SSR 83-20 to infer an onset date, and the ALJ should have addressed lay witness testimony in his written decision. http://laws.lp.findlaw.com/10th/052246.html
